Kadri Voorand & Raivo Tafenau quintet featuring also Estonian top bass guitarist Mihkel Mälgand, virtuous percussionist Eno Kollom and Jürmo Eespere on piano performing composition for Estonian lyrics.
Raivo Tafenau is no doubt one of Best know Estonian jazz musicians. He has performed together with several international big bands and played at different jazz festivals and concert venues both in Europe and North-America. His first album “Alone together” was released in 1998. In cooperation with Ricardo Padilla, Sergio Bastos and Estonian top musicians the album “Ice on Ipanema” came out in 2003. Young jazz vocalist and composer Kadri Voorand uses her improvisational skills and strong original expression to create a wide range of contemporary jazz. Voorand has won a plethora of competitions and prizes in Estonia as well as abroad, most recently the Young Jazz Talent of the Year award issued in Estonia. Her debut CD "Tunde kaja" ("Echo of the Feeling") from 2009 features one of the leading saxophonists in Finland and Sony Jazz Award winner Jussi Kannaste.
