Exclusive Estonian Racing Cars in Brussels
21.06.2010 - 31.08.2010
Formula Estonia - 1330 formula cars produced between 1958-1998.
The first circuit racing competitions took place in 1933 at the Pirita race track in Tallinn. The racing culture was still there and after the World War II in 1947 racing events continued to take place at Pirita circuit.
Ten years later a group of mechanically- minded men at Tallinn Auto Repair Works no.1 (TARK) with Ants Seiler as the „brain and engine“ decided to build a singleseater for racing. By September 1957 the first ESTONIAN RACING car was born.
This car raced at the same year at a street race circuit in Leningrad, setting a lap record. What happened next was unbelievable – a production racing car manufacturer was born in a tiny country which does not possess coal or iron ore.
TART no 1, later TARK, latest Kavor / Esttec, remained a single production monoposto builder not only in the USSR, but within a Social bloc as a whole. Overall 1330 formula cars have been built during 40 years what made ESTONIA one of the most seasoned production racing car makes on Earth competing in figures with United Kingdom - the ultimate racing country.
We have the honor to present 7 most valuable racing formula cars at Autoworld Museum at Parc du Cinquantenaire 11 from 21st of June - 31st of August.
