Introducing Estonia at the Castle of Val Duchesse

17.09.2007

The Castle of Val Duchesse (Boulevard du Souverain 259, Auderghem) was open for visits on September 15 and 16 as Brussels celebrated its Journées du Patrimoine / Open Monumentendagen. The Castle is famous for serving as the venue for the founding negotiations of the European Communities.

In cooperation with the European Movement in Belgium, the event featured an introduction into the present-day European Union. The Embassy arranged an information booth for Estonia.

According to the organizers, the event was attended by no less than 20 000 people.

The Embassy would like to thank all the volunteers who came to help present Estonia!
