Danish Foreign Minister to Visit Estonia

On Tuesday, 23 February Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Møller will come to Estonia for a visit and meet with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet.
At the meeting, they will discuss matters related to the European Union—the economic situation, Estonia’s accession to the euro, the Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, the response to the Copenhagen climate conference COP15, and the EU’s activities related to climate issues. They will also discuss the future of NATO and matters related to the NATO foreign ministers’ meeting taking place in Tallinn this spring. In addition to bilateral relations and Eastern Partnership, the ministers will also address matters related to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, Ukraine, and Central Asia. The Estonian and Danish foreign ministers will give a joint press conference.
During the “Estonia Thanks You” ceremony, President of the Republic Toomas Hendrik Ilves will present Per Stig Møller with the Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana I Class.
Within the framework of his visit, Per Stig Møller will also give a lecture at Tallinn University.
