Estonian Foreign Ministry Issues Protest to Russian Ambassador

Today, 1 March, the Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Tallinn. The Foreign Ministry issued a statement of regret and protest over the decision of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation to ask the Estonian consulate general in St. Petersburg to leave the country in the next two weeks.

The Russian Foreign Ministry justified its decision as a response to Estonian authorities refusing to allow the candidate for consulate general of the Russian Federation in Narva to assume the post.
